SUNMAIDEN

Sunmaiden's stories are a family project. They began when two boys were young and traveling, far from libraries, internet, or the influence of television. Never fear! Stories are always close at hand, and many were just waiting to be discovered.

Reading and story telling give a child the opportunity to assimilate life into her own experience. A story about herself offers a way to build her own identity. When read again, she has become part of the the collective society and this builds confidence in her place in the world.

Our reading time is always peaceful and fun. It may be a change of pace, or a chance to relax. Its an excuse for a snuggle or a good laugh together. We believe this time should be filled with calm and gentle images that cheer and empower. As a fruit tree offers its fruits to nourish our bodies, life offers good stories to nourish our souls and give us fuel for our journey.
