OSO IS GRUGGLED
Oso the dog is on guard. It is a very quiet day. Not much is happening. An electric truck drives down the road. The security guard leaves the booth to wash his coffee cup.
Oso wants a game. His ears prick up. Someone is coming up the hill. It is two boys. They climb to the top and then race down again. Oso is excited. He barks and races down too.
CLUNK! He runs over a sheet of metal on the ground.
SLIDE! He slips in the mud.
SPLASH! Oops, there's a puddle at the bottom of his yard.
Oso is gruggled. Gruggled? He is all mixed up.
The boys come back up the hill. This time he runs with them. They all go up and down, with Oso barking.
Then Oso has an idea. Can he gruggle the boys? He runs half way down and then goes back up. He pretends to run, then dashes behind the guard's booth.
The boys can go in many directions too. They have no fence. They laugh and are not gruggled.
It is very quiet again when the boys leave. But now, Oso likes the quiet. He can sleep and rest until next time the boys visit!
