Norman was going to a wedding. He wore his blue dress shirt. He carried a purple crayon in his front pocket.
Norman drew a picture with his purple crayon, while he waited for the wedding to start. Then the bride came in and he put the crayon in his pocket.
Everyone enjoyed the wedding and the party afterwards. Mama was tired when she did the wash later and forget to check the shirt pocket for the crayon.
"Oh No!" said Mama when she took out the wash and found that Norman's shirt was purple.
Mama put a pot of water on the stove to boil. She cooked up the shirt as if it were soup! When it was nice and hot, she rubbed oil into all the purple stains. Then she rubbed in washing soap and put it in the wash again.
It came out perfectly clean. Now Norman was prepared to dress up for the next fancy occassion!
